Mr. Cowan painted numerous paintings for the Marcoses. Imelda Marcos was a dear friend of Mr. Cowan's. She was great supporter of the arts. Most generous. If there were ever an angel that helped perpetuate Mr. Cowan's career, it was Imelda. She is a wonderful and honorable lady.
